Membership and Leadership Development

The goal of the Leadership Development program is to develop leadership and organizing skills among workers and build a participatory democratic space for the promotion and defense of worker rights.

Worker members who are interested in taking on greater responsibility within the organization are invited to participate in our Leadership Development Course, an 8-week class that incorporates personal transformation, organizing skills, and political education.

Members also often take on leadership roles by facilitating trainings and meetings, representing the Worker Center at community events, organizing grassroots fundraisers, and by serving on the board of directors.
